Church Services

At St Nicolas we hold a variety of different services on Sunday and an additional midweek service on a Thursday.

Due to the current restrictions our church buildings are closed for all services, however we are continuing as church at home. Click here for our service resources.

See the descriptions below for more details about our different services. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our Sunday services when we are open again.

Holy Communion (8am)

Sunday worship at St. Nicolas begins with this quiet and traditional celebration of Holy Communion. On the 1st Sunday of each month we use the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

Main Morning Service (10am)

Our Main Morning Service starts at 10am in the Church. This service is a blend of contemporary and traditional worship. Holy Communion is celebrated on 2nd and 4th Sundays. StNicsKids runs in the hall for ages 0-10, and Pathfinders meet in St Nic's House for ages 11-14.

Benefice Evensong (6pm, St Mary's Church, Speen)

This is the traditional evensong service from the Book of Common Prayer.  Our Benefice Evensong is at 6:00pm, on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. On the first Sunday of each month we have a special service of Choral Evensong. Join us for these traditional services in the peaceful setting of St Mary’s Speen.

Contemporary Evening Worship (6pm, Church Hall)

This informal service with a blend of modern worship songs, teaching from the Bible and prayer is held in the church hall. Holy Communion is celebrated once a month, normally on the third Sunday.  This service is followed by “The Firm” at 7.30pm, our youth group for 14-18s.

Holy Communion (Thursday, 10.30am)

A traditional service of Holy Communion.
