Women's Ministry

The women's ministry at St Nicolas exists to encourage women from all walks of life within St Nicolas to:

  • Grow in faith, friendship, fellowship and use of gifts.
  • Run quality social, teaching, training and evangelistics events.
  • To promote unity and purposeful activity.
To encourage women in our community to:
  • Hear of the love, joy and peace of God.
  • Experience the care of a Christian community.

Women's Breakfasts

Women's breakfasts happen about four times a year at 8:30am on Saturday mornings and are a great opportunity for women to come together and enjoy a relaxing breakfast and hear an engaging speaker.

We are planning for our next breakfast to be 'live' in the hall on Saturday 2 October. Put the date in your diary!  More details available nearer the time.

If you would like to join the mailing list to hear about our monthly breakfasts in 2021 and beyond, and other Women's events, please email office@st-nics.org.

Foundations (Tuesdays, 10.00 - 11.15am) - currently on hold.

Foundations is a group of women who meet weekly during term time in St Nicolas Upper Hall in order to encourage each other through the challenges of life we chat, study the Bible and pray together. Babies and pre-school children are welcome and a creche is available.

The women at St Nicolas also meet for one-off events such as craft evenings and 'coffee and chat' in people's homes. A women's weekend is also run occasionally, which is a good opportunity to spend more time together and grow in our faith in God.

Hidden Treasures event

Hidden Treasures (Partial re-opening May 2021, BOOKING ESSENTIAL)

Hidden Treasures is our parent and toddler group at St Nicolas Church; a place to find fun, friendship and faith!
We open at 10am each Monday morning in term time for under 5's and their grown-ups. We look forward to welcoming you and your little one(s) for an hour of fun with messy play, small world, toys and a together time of singing and a blessing from the Bible.

We have begun a staggered reopening as restrictions allow. Pre-booking is essential this term with registration for the whole half-term block. We are running between 10-11am (doors open at 9.50am for registration) each week in the church hall, with limited spaces of up to 15 adults. The suggested donation is £1 per child per session.

Registration for this half-term block is currently full. If you would like to join the short waiting list for a space or would be interested to know when the registration for the next half term opens, please email hiddentreasures@st-nics.org and we'll be in touch. Thank you!
